Church Access

On Your Wedding Day

St. Matthews Episcopal Church is quaint in its own beauty.  Additional decorations, such as flowers can be used to accent the beauty of the church.  All material used in decorating must be flameproof.  All decorations must not harm the existing structure of our church, and must be easily removed once the wedding is over.  Defacing walls or furniture in any way is prohibited.  Please do not move church furniture or the organ/piano.  Birdseed may be used outside of the church building; however, the use of rice or confetti is prohibited.

Since your wedding is a service of worship, please choose appropriate music.  You may employ your own organist, or other musician of your choice.  Instruction on the operation of the organ/piano can be arranged.

Wedding ceremonies that involve four or more persons should be rehearsed.  Your rehearsal should take one hour or less.  The officiant you select is in charge of the rehearsal proceedings.

Your wedding ceremony is a service that is both reverent and joyful.  Please keep this in mind when planning your wedding ceremony.

Our Sanctuary
